Welcome to Marksbury CE Primary School.

The Admissions Authority for Marksbury CE Primary School is The Bath & Mendip Partnership Trust. We take applications during the academic year directly, however,  all applications for Reception places must be made to the Local Authority (LA).

How to make an application for a Reception place September 2020.

Marksbury CE Primary School is part of the Bath and North East Somerset's Co-ordinated Admissions Scheme.  Children are admitted in the school year following their fourth birthday.

All applications for admission into Reception must be submitted to your Local Authority (LA) by the published closing date (15th January 2020). These admissions arrangements should be read in conjunction with Bath and North East Somerset Local Authority’s published coordinated Admissions Scheme for September 2020.  Further information about the admissions procedures can be found by following the link below.

 The Published Admission Number

Marksbury CE Primary School’s Published Admission Number (PAN) is 15 for entry in the reception year 20120. The school will accordingly admit this number of pupils each year if there are sufficient applications. Where fewer applicants than the published admission number(s) for the relevant year group are received, the Bath And Mendip Partnership Trust will offer places at the school to all those who have applied.

An Admissions Committee comprising of Governors is responsible for taking admission decisions for children joining the school during the academic year. (Please also read our ‘In Year Admissions Policy’).
